got me thinking about potential TQ drafts. Unlike that poster I am using an UQ (3S-3/4 Crowsnest) and as a temporary TQ I have an old Marmot Grouse semi-rectangular bag. I estimate that the bag's circumference is about 60" - quite a bit more than the typical 48" of a Hammock Gear or JRB TQ. Of course, I have a 54" chest.
One thing I noticed over my recent 5-night trip was that when I rolled to my opposite side I often pinched a section of bag & zipper, resulting in a gap. Easily corrected, and not a deal killer.
What I want to know from you folks already using dedicated TQs is: Does the narrower width of the HG or JRB quilts result in MORE gapping or is the narrow width beneficial in not offering so much material to trap during a rollover?
And do you think that the zipper on the Grouse is causing additional pinching when I roll?
