    Where is your hammock made?

I would like to see a list of all the companies that make there products here in North America. I try to support my neighbor!! Times are tuff now, and I'm sure everyone can use the help. Who else can we add to the list, or take off?

    Made in the U.S.A.

Mine is a mysterious Soul Catcher, I was told it was made locally but cannot find any info on them. It seems very similar to the ENO Hammocks.

    Far as I know...

    Warbonnet-USA
    TTTTG-USA
    Clark-USA
    JRB-USA
Claytor- Pretty sure the import/export slip said Thailand
    DD Hammocks-UK
ENO-TrekLight-TTTM-Are reportedly all made by the TTTM shop in Indonesia
    Grand Trunk-Don't know?
Hennessy Hammocks-Depends; either China, Canada, or USA
Eureka-If I had to guess, I'd guess China

However, if you really want to get picky (proud), you're going to have to find out where they all get their materials from. There may be some exceptions, but I bet very few hammocks are sold with fabric made in the USA. Hennessy probably makes their "Made in USA" hammocks from materials made in the US, but only because I believe that to be a requirement for government contracts. As pointed out in another thread, most USA made hammocks are more like "Assembled in USA".

I did a quick Google search for you. My Google-Fu is decent:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just received a Soul Catcher Hammock as a gift. I've seen them in Trailhead, although this one was purchased from Muskoka Outfitters. They are a small company in Lakefield. You can call them at 705 652-9876 and ask for the closest retailer to you. I think they are about $ 55.00 cdn. I haven't tried it yet, but will next week.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

I believe Soul Catcher is Canadian.

All the stuff that we sew---all KAQ quilts, stuff sacks, top covers, attack packs, bushman hammock chairs and the like and all splicing for Whoopie slings, Chain links, ridgelines and so on are all made in my shop in Idaho. Though we do carry pre made products from all over the world we work predominantly with local suppliers when ever possible.
