two people in the double nest?

i have the eno doublenest and me and my girl friend tried to get in it together and it was tough. Im about 200 and she is only about 112 so i know were not too big for it. we only tried once and i was thinking maybe i had it hung to tight and too much tension. i havent hung it up yet with a structural ridgeline but i plan to try this weekend...would that help? just wanna hear everyone's experience with two people in it and what not

Possible but not comfortable in my experience. I know a few people on this forum who have slept with their spouse in a double hammock and been fine but for me it is impossible for anything but a very, very short nap. I would think a structural ridgeline would help but probably not as much as your hoping for

yeah thats what i was thinking, there was no way to get any kind of space between us and the tension of the walls would basically smash us together

That's pretty much what I've found, though I haven't tried a ridgeline or anything.

I'd guess the only solution would be spreader bars of some type. Wife and I have a Pawley's Island rope hammock in our yard and we occasionally relax/snooze in it together on a nice summer afternoon/evening. But all night? NO WAY, no even with the built-in spreader bars.

I tried it once, and then used my double into a single point suspension hammock...I use the width to hang in it perpendicular to the suspension, thus avoiding being folded in the process...

It's about cuddling if you want to sleep double in a regular hammock. Basically, I lay normally and Genuine Draft kind of lays partially on top of me and partially on her side. Since I don't move much when I sleep, it works for us. Because I'm basically a furnace with a heartbeat, we only need one topquilt and one underquilt when we sleep this way. So it's really a huge weight savings for two people hiking.

Tried with my wife ..... she said that hammocks are for lone wolfs.
    A bit claustrophobic for her.
Not sure a ridge line will make a difference.

I use the same strategy as Cannibal. Have slept that way in a WBBB 1.7 double. You just have to cuddle real close lol. My girlfriend and I have a bit of an advantage here since I am 5'6" 145 lb and she is 5'2" 100lb.

yeah, it seems like it would work, idk if it would work well sleeping all night, but to hang out it or rest or something seems like it would work pretty well
