So, I'm AstrayKat, Kat for short. I'm new to hammocking, though I've been contemplating it for a couple of years now. I finally got to try one out... two actually. A Clark North American, and a Hennessy. Both looked cool, and the Hennessy was awesome to climb into, but it was hard for me to get comfortable in it. I have nothing against it--I did get comfortable eventually--but I fell in love with the Clark. I don't have my own yet: I've been borrowing my buddy's. I'm saving up for it, and I'm almost there. The only downside to the Clark is the price.
I've camped out a couple nights this summer... mostly in my back yard. The summers down in Georgia (that's where I live btw) are pretty darn warm. I've been using just the 'skeeter net and sleeping in light clothes. The bugs have just started to calm down, but there are still a few of 'em buzzing around. It's also just started to get cool enough I've had to start using a light sleeping bag.
I guess that's it... I'm terrible with fora btw. I've never really gotten the hang of them, but I've finally found a forum I think I can hang around, and stick with.
