I got deep into the Leather Stocking Tales when I was less than 10 I guess ... loved every one of those books. Played Natie Bumbo (Hawk-eye) till everyone in my family was ready to kill me. Made my own stick long rifle ... and well ... the nickname stuck. Kinda got revived later in life by the world's greatest Navy MCPO I ever had the privilege to meet ... and I kept using it in various avenues.

The only other name I've used was Ralloh ... my last name backwards ... not too creative but fun to say!

Many years ago when I was signing up for a forum I couldn't think of anything. I was having a Spaten Optimator at the time so there it was. If you've never had one, you gotta try one

Hmmm..."real" name initials are B P...easily transferred to BeePee and then shortened to Beep. Beep was my on-line name for some serious gaming (Ghost Recon for many moons, then later WOW...all with the good folks at Tactical Gamer).

Short, simple...and vaguely related to Roadrunner ("beep-beep") enjoyment.

Nothing fancy here. Needed a forum name before and shortened Double to dbl. Bloomgorge thought I 2 fisted coronas, but for those cigar smokers out there, you should know the cigar size of double corona.

So, your last name is Doner--like an organ donor? Sounds much more refined, but strangely more cannibalistic.

Edit: I suppose if I read the whole thread I'd realize Mike is as demented as I!

Old River was a river my family had a camp by when I was young. There was a little honky tonk on the river that became a members only club. That is another story. They called it the Old River Rats Club. My parents loved Old River and that little honky tonk. They would have a few drinks and dance every Friday night. I chose the name for the sentiment that is attached.
