srestrepo - wish I saw this post earlier...would have joined you up at upper goose pond...I'm about a 20 minute drive from the parking area for that area of the AT.
If you guys head up to Greylock deffinitely keep me posted, one of my favorite places to hike/hang! Or anywhere else around Berkshire County/Western MA.
Prolly need about a weeks notice if you do though as I work on Saturdays until 7pm.
Is it a hike in or a driveup campsite. I would love to hang too. but not ready for a hike in.
NFA: let me know when and where your hang is I might want to come to that one too!
I may be interested in something around the holidays. I grew up in western mass and still make it back as much as possible. this would give me another reason to come up.
Love to hang with other members. I live in Maine so Mass is only a couple hours drive away..I can hang anytime, keep me informed
I'm as recovered as I'll probably ever be, am ready to hit the trail again, and should be able to make it to any upcoming hangs.

Hi,
I am hanging in the Whites this weekend. Going to be wet, temps 30-40*F
If everyone wants to join me, you are welcome.
I am flexible on the destination, just want to get out into the woods without a lot of miles or elevation.
Ideas:
1) Flat Mountain Pond Shelter from Bennet Street TH
2) Shoal Pond from Zealand TH
3) Sawyer Pond Shelter from Bear Notch Road [~ 1/2 of this is on a forest road]
Might stay at a CG on Friday night if I can get out of work early.
PM me if interested.
Thanks,
Tommy
Love my JRB BMB
I can't do anything this weekend, HOWEVER, a friend and I are planning on doing the entire Devil's Path trail in the Catskills (~24 miles, totally rugged) on the weekend of 11/6-11/7 hanging either before or after. Thoughts/interest?
Flatland - I have done a small section of the Devil's Path near Sugarloaf and Plateau Mountains. Rugged is a good description. Don't take a dog unless you're willing to help him constantly (left mine home & was glad I did). If you can't find the trail, look up... way up... or way down. 1200 feet of elevation gain in less than a mile. The next day I was fine. The day after that, I was hurting! The Devil's Path was rated the hardest trail in America by some organization a few years ago. Oh yeah, there are rattlesnakes, especially on the eastern sections.
Have fun! Post a trip report.
