Looking for info on this WBBB I got used.

Long story short, my fiance got me a WBBB Dual 1.7 for an early birthday present. She got it new from the the Warbonnet Outdoors page. She liked it so much that I nabbed the first WBBB I saw pop up here in the For Sale section. It happens to be another Dual 1.7

Mine is a lighter (somewhat bright) green taffita, and her's is a silvery grey/green ripstop. Her's is supposed to be a dual 1.7, but it's completely different material than my newer one.

Any idea what vintage this is, or any more info on it?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Her's sounds like the same material he used on the 1.1 models, but he has been through a few rolls of material over the last couple of years.
Your new acquisition sounds like one of the early models. He still had some of the brighter green material left from the ElDorado days and I believe I remember reading that he was making a few Blackbirds from it.

Dunno, but pictures would help...a lot!

I did take some, but they don't really show the material well.

Mine is on the left, hers is on the right. Mine is a brighter green taffita, and her's is a silvery/grey-green ripstop. I'm starting to wonder if it is a dual 1.1 rather than a 1.7.

It's hard to tell exactly from the pic but the one on the right does look like the 1.1 that he uses.

Not the green I was thinking.

Yeah, the one on the left is definitely the 1.7 material and the one on the right darn sure looks like the 1.1 he was using. You should be able to tell the difference between the materials by rubbing them between your fingers. If the one on the right is 1.1, it should be obviously different from the 1.7 when doing a direct comparison.

Honestly, both of the hammocks hanging in next to each other is the closest I've come to actually handling the hammock I got from my fiance. Partially because she loves it so much it's with her, and partially because I want to be as hands-off as possible and let her find her own way with the hammock as I did.

She figured out toggles and whoopie slings herself by watching Shugs videos, so she's on the right track.

I'll see if I can get my hands on both of them and weigh them in the supplied stuffsack. I'm thinking the person that sold it to me (I PM'd him but not sure if he's still a regular here or not) might have been mistaken as to what the material is. Not a big deal, it just means it suits my fiance's weight much better than a dual 1.7 would.

dude, i can tell you with 100% certainty that you have in that picture a 1.1 and a 1.7, not two 1.7's. I have both so I can tell them apart pretty easily. Its probably not a bad thing though really. I'd say the 1.1 is suited better for most girls anyway. I'm 205 and use a 1.1d exclusively.

Me thinks the seller got the two confused.
