HH setup with no trees

I was recently reading and article on the HH website and it talked about a boyscout troop that made some sort of support stands using steel fence posts. Has anyone ever seen plans for such a thing? The gentleman does describe the setup but I just can not follow it for some reason. It is under the scouting section on the left side of the home page.

I went out in my yard and set up my hammock using two trekking poles and that's it. Of course this is a go to ground option and basically the hammock becomes a tent with a fly more like a bivvy than anything else.
