    Howdy from TX

I just started learning about hanging recently due to another post on another forum...so I picked up an ENO Singlenest and it's great!

I came over here to learn more to refine my gear. I got a pair of whoopieslings and installed them and now it looks like I could use a couple of Dutch clips and Dutch biners...no idea where to get them though.

Still trying to see how to attach my structural ridge line also...

Anyway, I learn better by reading than posting...and I have a lot of reading to do here to learn more. Just thought I'd say hi...

Welcome! It sounds like you are off to a good start! The "Dutch. items can be purchased only from www.jacksrbetter.com

For some real fun and a learning experience, come to the Texas group hang to be held at Faifield State Park on Nov. 12-13. I'm coming all the way from South Florida, so no excuses Check out the thread on the "trip planning" sub-forum.

Come join the fun in November. I'm new here too - don't even have my hammock yet - but the wife and I will be there.

Folks here are the nicest, and you can read for days and not get it all covered. Just be sure to bookmark the stuff you like. You may never find your way back to it again.

Ahhh...sounds like fun...I wish I could go, but I'm being forced to go to some stupid "yellow ribbon" event that weekend.

Thanks for the welcome! Still reading.

Welcome to HF this is the right place to learn about hammocks. When you get tired reading. Take a break and check out Shug's video series "Essentials for Noobs". You will learn and laugh at the same time.

Well, I was not able to go to the GTG in November...is there going to be another one sometime in the next few months? Sounds like it would be a lot of fun...

Still regret I couldn't attend the last one...
