    thanks slowbro!

So the stitching for the loop will hold with lots of tension on it, no need for the biner? That is so much trust for me. I hate falling on my butt or back.

Also what do you recommend for the strap 1" ot 1.5" seatbelt or what?

That WB tree strap stretched way too much. plus the BB stretching too... sheesh.
It's not the pace....it's the experience.

You will get the same tension on the loop if you clip a carabiner (or a Dutch clip) through the loop and then clip over the free end. So it's the same either way. If you use nylon webbing you will always get lots of stretch. Poly webbing has much less stretch if the weave is tight. One inch is plenty strong, but 1.5 is stronger and a little nicer to the tree. Of course it weighs more, too.

I use the stock WBBB straps with Dutch Clips and have not had any problems ( I weight 275lbs ).

I use 7/64 Amstell on my other hammocks (not woopies) and have not had any problems.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

I have had nylon and polypro 1" straps break. I think what has happened is when they go through the loops it greatly constricts them and causes fraying on the edge and then they break or tear at the fray. I have gone to using screw links at the loops and I just got 1" heavy weight poly pro straps that I have not tested yet. 7/64 amsteel diy whoopies have held my 280 just fine.

    Ok campers... stay tuned...

I just got my ENO DN, about to buy the whoopie/dutch combo.

    I weigh in @ 365lbs.

If I don't fall, then you won't. (kinda feel like Sasquatch here)

Will 7/64 amsteel hold me for sure?

I'm weighing in at 300#'s. I plan on pulling the trigger on them this friday! Let me know what you pro's think!
