OK, that wondrous thing called a "Xmas Bonus" is right around the corner and I'm using a chunk of it next week to secure my final piece of winter gear. YIPPPEEE!
Now the hard part; which one? I've got my bottom insulation figured-out (thank you warbonnetguy), so now it's time for the top quilt. The functionality of the JRB No Sniveller makes it sort of a no-brainer for me. Buuuuuut, I really like the idea of being really toasty warm under a Rocky Mountain Sniveller.
6 oz difference in weight, but I could be convinced that it is a good 6oz. to carry . About $90 difference in cost, but when you're spending that much on a piece of quality gear it hurts any way you look at it. I've already got a top quilt for summer use, so I'm not worried about the wider range of temps that a regular NS provides.
I'm not sure about the difference in packed bulk, but I can't imagine it would be too much more bulk. Will it be overkill, probably but I'd rather someone other than the voices in my head offer me some guidance. Anybody have the Rocky Mountain Sniveller yet?
And since it isn't called the No Sniveller, does this mean that I can lie in my hammock and snivel after a rough day hiking?
