Having a problem with Prusik knots slipping on my Zing-it ridgeline. I've tried using Zing-it and Kelty Striptease for my Prusiks. Any suggestions?

use zing-it (or something smaller? - is there anything smaller?) or use more turns?
or grip-ier- how about rubberbands?

If your ridgeline is 2.2mm Zing-It. Having your prussics made from 1.75 line will automatically help and that is how most friction type knots work. If not the suggestions already mentioned will help.
Lastly if they don't work out, look up the penthbury prussic and give that a try.

Thanks for the input. I don't have any thinner zing-it to try. I did re-do the prusiks and get them as tight as possible and they hold fairly well on the tarp itself but the one holding my figure 9 slips when try to pull the ridgeline too tight.
I had the same issue sandpiper when I used ZingIt. I had to wrap my prussik knots about 6 times to get it to grip and about 8 wraps for the figure 9 to grip.

I, like Beep, used Lash-It, 1.75mm. Same as Zing-It, just a different color. Made prusiks from continuous loops I made. I experienced the same thing at first. Trick is to make them super tight. After I looped the CL on, 3 times I bit down on the loop with my teeth, pulled tight, and used my index fingers and thumbs to tighten it even further, almost spinning out all slack throughout the prusik knot. I know this may be hard to picture but it works. Hope this helps out! Let the hike begin!!
I second the Klemheist knot. Your application puts a directional load on the knot which these are very good at.
I've never had a problem with 1.75mm zing-it and Figure 9's. I use the small metal Figure 9's and tie the tag end to the main line with a slippery half hitch, just to keep the tag end at an appropriate angle in case it dos start to slip.
If your only having trouble with the figure 9 slipping try taking it off of the sliding prusic and attach it to directly to the main line using the eye of the figure 9 as the maker shows in the instructions for use. It will still slide were you need It but It will not slip under Any amount of load. This is what I did with mine and i bet i could break the line pulling it before the 9 will slip.
