Can anyone comment on its use in a hammock in 30-40F overnight lows?

Looks tempting as it could let the bag loft under you, and since its inside the sleeping bag reduce the squirm as much as a pad sandwiched between the bag and the hammock, and also preserves the 'go to ground' option (as opposed to an underquilt).

    thanks,
    philip

I have had one for a while, and will be trying it out with a HH SS next month in temps surely at least freezing, will post then.
Since I retired, some times I stay awake all day, some times all night.

I have used this pad on the ground and in the hammock in the winter. It's been my goto pad for ground sleep for over 3 years.

On the ground, its a champ. Packable, light, substantial enough for a bear sized side sleeper like myself. It insulates well, the "loft pockets" work well. Doubly so if you layer it with a foam-pad for deep winter hiking.

In a hammock it works fairly well - the issue is that the loft pockets don't stop airflow. Underquilts and foam-pads stop wind - however my sleeping bags at least, don't at all. Frankly, for hammock camping, I'd leave it at home unless there was a very good chance (50-100%) that you had to go to ground. It is a good insurance policy towards getting a good rest should you be grounded. It does really pack down to the size of a soda can, easily. No origami needed.

I'm wondering if put my Klymit inertia xl in a big trash bag can prevent airflow in my hammock?
