    Nice!

I find it amazing how many references to hammocks I run across, now that I'm paying attention. I was reading some old classics and both Swiss Family Robinson and Robinson Crusoe feature lots of hammocks. Then I was listening to The Adventures of Huck Finn audiobook and bam, hammock again

My wife works as a speech language pathologist and just yesterday she was telling me a hammock flash card came up in an evaluation test kit - they're everywhere!

I remember a few short years ago when HF started, one of the more popular quotes stated with certainty was "Hammocking will never be mainstream!!!" I mean we said it at least once in almost every thread! Now, well I'm not so sure anymore.

I'm not really surprised they are showing up more often in the press. Sort of along the lines of "Build a better mouse trap & the world will beat a path to your door"

I think we will look back and think these were the good years before hammock regulations and commercialization.

Readers: Make sure you push the back button on the comic page to October 22nd.

I was puzzled when i first saw it "This has nothing to do with hammocks" *slaps head* "I'm so stupid."

I was telling a client about how comfortable my hammock is a few weeks ago. I went to do some more work for said client, and noticed 2 new hammocks strung up between his trees.
2 more down, only another few million to go at my end.

Hammocks seem similar to motorcycles in popularity. There always a few die hard types (do it no matter the weather...hi Shug) and many weekend warriors (do it when it is warm and dry) but even then compared to the overall population it is a small group. The numbers will swell at times but then those who try it soon find they really don't like it and the used market gives you great buys.

There will always be plenty of room in the trees for the die hards and even the weekend warrior.

I remember when i start out befor i found HF...there wasn't much out there gea wise for hammocks .....it's cool to see more gear out there to play with...but at the same time you don't want it to get too big....
but like all things ...it will
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
