Potential Hang, Sydney, NSW, Australia?

Hi,

I've recently been reading through the thread history in the "Hangouts, Campouts, and Trip Planning" forum. After reading so may great stories I thought I'd send out the feelers for interest in something similar locally.

My feeling is that rather than drive to a hang we do a hike 'n hang. By that I mean a not to long but interesting hike to a good location with plenty of room for everyone to get setup. E.g.; Katoomba to Mt Solitary via Ruined Castle. A short walk (6hrs) with great scenery and plenty of room atop Mt Solitary.

So, this post is just an expression of interest for those predominately Sydney hangers, or those willing to travel, who might be interest in a hang early next year. I'm also interested in any suggestions you may have for a location.

As I say, this is just an initial feeler. Based on responses and feedback, we'll go from there.

Well I can't really contribute much, as I'm in Brisbane, QLD, so sydney is too far to travel for me.

But I think another group hang sometime next year,for members in brisbane and southern QLD/northern NSW members, hiking around goldcoast hinterland area or a place where we could all travel to.

Mt Solitary has is a special place for me as it is where I did my first solo trip. Im open to anywhere.

A very appropriate place for a solo!

I'm Brisbane based but I would be very interested in tagging along if I could bum a lift with someone. Happy to train it from the airport to somewhere closer to the destination.

I'd be interested... I'll keep an eye out here for any planning. It'd be great to meet some fellow hangers, I've yet to see any out in the field.
