Typically I just stuff my sleeping bag into my pack as seen in this video:

so that it stays dry, so I might actually just try leaving the sleeping bag in the hammock, and stuffing it into the pack the same way, and see if that works out. I find that stuffing the sleeping bag into the pack like that helps to evenly distribute my pack a bit better.
