    EB Packable Down Throw

My fiance and I saw this in the Eddie Bauer catalog that came with one of the many jackets we ordered during their closeout. It was also mentioned in a thread. I just wanted to post about it in case someone would be interested. Especially since it's $49 on sale right now.

    Eddie Bauer Packable Down Throw

We ordered one of each color (red for her, blue for me). I'll get some photos once they arrive, but they certainly look good on the web page.

Definitely interested to see what you think when you have them in hand. If not for camping, might still be nice for say, stuffing in one's bag for airplanes and such.

Interestingly, the only comment in the reviews right now is from "BackpackingMichigan" and says

"Way less down than I was expecting. The picture makes it look like the baffles are fairly full. We'll see how it turns out."

Yeah I saw that...I don't think that was up there before we ordered. But with the sale, plus a 20% off coupon....we'll see how it looks.

Besides, what's to stop my from stuffing it with some 800FP from HammockGear.com?

We intend to use them in the home theater...I've still not turned the heat on in the house cause I'm cheap like that.

They do have a Travel Down Throw & Pillow, but it doesn't look as epic (or gear like) as the packable down throw.

And I saw This EB Down/Fleece while looking for other options. It's a bit on the expensive side, but looks uber-warm and somewhat stylish.

Hopefully when I get more into the swing of using the vintage Thread Injector, I'll start making my own down/fleece throws.

We received our down throws last night. I took some quick photos of it in and out of the package. I'll take a photo of it in use, as well as weigh it tonight and do a mini review.

It is in fact, sew through, and only 3/4" loft (at best). More on this later this weekend.

(now that I've seen this, I need some down to start making my own quilts!)

Let us know what you think, might be nice way to add some warmth during cold weather or use it for milder weather... Be sure to get a weight on it but it looks pretty nice and overstuffing would certainly be an option....
