Stairguy has put forward a suggestion for Saturday dinner...(can you tell he's worked a lot with Boy Scouts!!)
This sounds simple and good to me. I'm thinking of adding some pita bread (warmed by the fire) as a "bun" for a brat that has been "stick cooked" over a fire. Easy to do, not much cleanup. For communal dinner Sat. night we could do a group soup. Everyone brings a few of their own brats or dogs to roast for themselves, and a can of non-cream based soup to add to the communal pot. I've also come across a recipe for maple syrup candy over a fire that I'm thinkin about.
Any other suggestions?
