    BMBH rig question

I've just been lucky enough to get my hands on a BMBH from a pal who no longer needs it.

A question about hanging it then ...

I've got tree straps, I've got toggles for marlin spike hitches and I've got two sets of 1" cinch buckles and chain links from AHE.

Can I use the straps and toggles then hook my chain links over the knot like I would with my whoopies on my BB ? Then use the BMBH webbing to go through the cinch buckles and adjust from there ?

Hope that makes some kind of sense but I'm trying to put a rig together using what I've got in the "spares" box.

Seems like it would work ... if I am picturing it correctly.
    Have fun trying the bridge!

Enjoy the BMBH. It's a great hammock!

Can't quite picture the rigging you are you are explaining.

Order a set of tri glides from JRB should be all you need. Cheap and easy. By the way l,ove my JRBBH too!

    Hi Shewie,

Interesting! I started with a BMBH and have added a BB, and you've gone the other way round! I got a BB because I thought it would be slightly better for winter use, when I could pitch the tarp more steeply and not worry about the spreader bars rubbing. I figure I may use the BMBH more often in summer, with a flatter pitch tarp and better views.

Anyway, back on topic, I got two sets of whoopies from AHE and use one on the bridge with straps/marlin spike toggles. Very similar to what you're describing and it works fine. I reckon you'll be OK.

I have the original tri-glides if you'd be interested, but personally I'd recommend another set of whoopies if/when budget allows. I found the tri-glides and webbing to be quite effective, just not to quite so convenient or user friendly.

Hey Shewie, just saw this. What you described would work fine. No reason at all that it wouldn't. Have fun.

    Cheers Paul

I've had a bit of a play in my bat cave and it looks like it's going to work just fine. Not had chance to test it out in anger yet though. Got a solo trip planned for the weekend so might give it a whirl.
