Great looking trip. I might have to load up the kayak and hammock on my next trip to see family and work.

Great pictures. That beaver got close. Like Animal planet. Thanks for sharing.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)
Wow .. What great pictures of those spiders. Glad they were not in the hammock.

Enjoyed your pics. I have spent the last week driving back and forth from Batesville and Oxford, where I have been working, to my home in Tupelo.
Trace State Park has nice campgrounds and a nice lake. I am always, so far, the only hammock hanger there. Not all of the campsites have trees suitable for hanging, but many do. I love to hike the back country there. They have a couple of square miles or more that are usually deserted during the week, and devoid of hikers all the time. But on weekends there are a lot of dirt bikers and 4 wheelers. I like to day hike and hang my hammock for a break. But to overnight outside the developed campgrounds, you would have to stealth. I asked one time and got a negative response. But no one would ever know you were there.

Really enjoyed the photos you posted. That first spider photo was awesome how the light goes through him. Thanks for sharing.
Hey BillyBob58 It is always easier to ask forgiveness than ask for permission. Us hangers do not hurt the environment so just go for it and be stealthy. Last winter I was out snowshoeing and a few snowmobilers went by my "stealth site" while I was having lunch and they didn't even see me. I thought it was great.
Those spiders were creepy and I can't believe you got that beaver to pose great picks and report
Great Pictures!
