I just ordered my nest from JRB. My question is how do you all store yours? Do you use a compression sack, and if so how does that effect the down?

Dont use the compression sack to store it. Only use that when backpacking.
I hang mine in my closet on a bungee cord.

my understanding has always been that down products ought not be compressed except when they have to be when carried.
The Nest comes in soft-sided plastic "box" (really a squarish bag) that holds it uncompressed, more or less. I take mine and store it loose in a larger linen bag.

i always thought it was convenient how my marmot bag has a small loop on the end of the footbox so you can hang it upside down fully opened, great for air drying, and storage, you almost have to install a hook in your celing to hang it from though.
I hang all my down stuff, and only compress when hiking. I find a nook in the closet and keep them there. I don't think I would store them in an un-heated/un-airconditioned area, just in case of moisture.
I store my JRB quilts each in their own 10 gallon plastic tub. I plan on getting some cheap cotton fabric at WalMart and making a storage sack similar to what comes with most sleeping bags.

I fold mine in half and lay it under my bed. I wouldn't fold it, but the bed supports are in the way.
Peace,

I store mine in a large sack that I made from cheap mulsin fabric from Wally's and some drawcord.
