    Idaho Day Hike

Hey Idaho folks, I need to get out and do a little bit of hiking and product photoing. Wanted to check and see if anybody wanted to get out for the day. I have Thursday lining up to look like I should have the day pretty well free and was thinking about heading down to Bruneau Dunes. There is a 7 mile loop that takes you from the visitor center at the park entrance to the dunes, along the ridge S->N then loops back to the visitor center. Most of it is walking in sand and can be tiring but makes for a good workout

There is $5.00 entrance fee for the day to the park if you don't have a ID parks annual pass. I hope to be down to the park about 9AM and on the way home before dinner time. There is a couple spots where we can hang a hammock for lunch, one is a great spot for pictures and that is where I would like to take a little bit of time to shoot some photos of some products.

    Anyone want to come?

Wish I could. The dunes are a fun place. Great place for some midnight capture the flag and king of the mountain (nothing like tossing a scout off the top of a dune)! I must admit though, I'm not familiar with the loop hike your talking about - I'll have to look into it for the next time we head over there. The only trees I recall were in the park campgrounds but it's been a few years.

The park lists it as a 6 mile loop, my gps recorded 7 and we cut off going around the small lake at the north end of the dunes.

Here is a link to the trail map
