    Hi to All,

Reading a lot of socks, I see this combinated tarp/sock prototype Mac had made. I got curious and wondering how the thing will work. After a while i've decided to give this Idea a try: I asked for a tarp/sock combination for a really big dangerbird. It will come as a silnylon and in woodland camo . Should also work with my snipe.Review will follow up after finishing and testing.
    Greetings from Swiss alps, Chris

I have wanted to try one since I saw it. I just got hung up on condensation at 40°. That would make it tough to use where I camp. I hope you have better luck than Mac did.
Best of luck to you. I'm looking forward to your review.

I haven't made his yet... cutting fabric today! But as I stated in Medicine Man's thread, it occurred to me that such a sock might be nice with a noseeum bottom with a short rain skirt around it.

One reason I changed my mind about building one of these is that obviously, some people either do not make much condensation, or don't mind a little condensation. However, with the beast in porch mode, and a breathable bottom, it should be a nice hideaway in rainy weather.

Sorry, it seems that I have forgotten all my english grammar: "going to make" was meant. But pics or vid will follow up.

    Hi, Mac Entyre
It's clear to me, that at certain temperatures and deep breathing You can't avoid condensation. Even with a lot of venting (= loosing heat!) So if You can't stop upcoming condensation, You should catch it. There is a material, what will catch up the condensation.
I'm thinking of a thing, I like to call the "water-snake" and it will work with a Silicia-Gel, what is normally in use stopping ship-container to soak all the goodies inside. If I should get problems with condensation, I will add a "water-snake" to the sock.

Well, I'm making it with cat cut edges on the SEEP/Tarp portion, with four tie outs... it looks like half of a hex tarp, with doors. I don't anticipate that it will be a good idea to allow the SEEP to close completely.
