Been reading up and watching videos and plan to upgrade my suspension.
The whoopie sling looks good and AFAIK the only real difference between it and UCR is that you trade needing twice the line length for added security that it won't slip during the night since both ends of the bury remain under tension.
At first glance I thought I'd take the security but as I aspire to eventually be something of a gram weenie I've been mulling this over.
I have seen the loops for attaching a weight to the other end of a UCR to add tension but I've been wondering... why can't you just take some 1/8" or even 1/16" shock cord and attach it to the slack end of the UCR and then after a few inches tie it around the main line in a prussic so that it tugs on the bury?
Are there threads on this I'm missing? Is there a reason this won't work?
