Some Figure 9s may help you tighten that ridge-line up ...... also some different knots like Truckers Hitch.
    Keep at it.

^those are the methods I use too

I use the truckers hitch on my jrb tarp and my speer winter tarp is set up with figures 9's both work great for me.

Truckers hitch is one of my favorite knots that i have learned recently, now I don't know what I would do without it lol.

    Dry Rum

I looked quick and thought I read "DRY RUM" I got all excited thinking some one had come up with a way to dehydrate rum for hiking.

What's next? Dry screech? Or is that just in Newfoundland?

Well, I like my rum dehydrated (i.e. 151 proof).

hey, i also use figure 9s, they are exceptionally helpful. You could use taught-line hitch, or UCRs, but i have found the figure 9 to be the most versatile and affective. also, use line that is non stretch-ie. NOT NYLON!! para cord may seem inviting to use as line, but it both stretches and it is bulky+heavy compared to other inexpensive options like Dacron or other polyester lines.
    Thanks,
    Dan

You will not be unhappy with figure 9s just make sure you get the right size for your rope.
