    carabiner

Does anyone make a carabiner lighter then the Camp Nano23 that is big enough to used with a hammock's sleeve?

If you stop using climbing rated gear some of the lightweight, won't hold weight accessory ones are probably lighter. Not sure how much I'd want to trust them with my weight though...

I use webbing through the channel then a "Dutch Biner" (available from http://www.jacksrbetter.com) to my whoopie sling.

I think there is a need for a nice sized under 10 gram oval type carabiner weight rated to around 1000 lbs built for hangers. I have switched back to carabiners after the 7/64" Amsteel cut one of my hammock channels two weekends ago.

You won't fit the hammock channel through a Dutch biner though. May want to put a sleeve around the amsteel.

Was this a homemade hammock? I have not experienced this?

I have Camp Nano23's and they work good but I want something lighter. My hammock only weighs 6.5oz without carabiners so I want something lighter. Maybe I will try making some. I have a rod bender.

Under 10 gram... now that would be something!

These are the more common light-weights out now, but if anyone can make one under 10gr - I bet you can.
