This is great seeing the interest in the trip , the area is quite beautiful I am only trying to keep the area flat for ease of winter travel and to avoid injury so vistas will be minimal as a result, but the trip will be enjoyable nevertheless.

    Seriously considering!

    Good Morning!

I am following this thread and should be able to join you folks. 6 or 7 hours from here in NoVa (think Wash. D.C.); so, unless there's a blizzard and the roads are a mess...

I do not own snow shoes and wouldn't know how to use them anyway. Hope no one gets upset if they have to break trail and I'm just following along.

I have a house just south of Butler, PA and kinda know the area. "What happens above I-80, Stays above I-80" - ...hehehe!
    Happy Trails,
    J.D.

I never drink water. I'm afraid it will become habit-forming.

Yippee !!! We're gonna see some snow!

Weather forecast changed a little bit and we now have a 60% chance of snow showers on Saturday - COOL....!

Speaking of "cool", forecast sez overnight low of 22F. Subtract a few degrees for where we will be hanging...

Someone bring a good thermometer so we can lie - ahhh.... BRAG about how low we go!

The weather man is calling for snow flurries here tonight too. With temps in the mid to high 20's. I am psyched! I've got my gear set up in the yard and I'm hoping mother nature really throws it at me. It will be a good test for my set up.
