What a difference those Thingies make!!

I got my UQ Triangle Thingies from AHE and had a chance to put them on this morning while testing the closed loops and whoopie slings I made. All I can stay is they made a huge difference in my setup. I'm using a custom made UQ from Stormcrow. I guess you could say it's a one season that I've been down to about 38. I've only been using a hammock for about 1.5yrs and have always had trouble getting it adjusted just right until now. These thingies made the seal so much better. Thanks to AHE and Stormcrow for such great products. Here are some pics.

They are a great piece of kit and do make adjusting a UQ very easy. I have a pair and really like them on my blackbird.

I'm going to have to make some of these and see how I like them. I'm having issues with my underquilt, probably because it's extra wide.

My understanding regarding triangles (and I may well be wrong) is that they work best with shorter UQs, and are less effective for full length.

    Is this right?

Not totally, On a short quilt the difference is accentuated the grater the distance from the quilt to where it is attached to the hammock over a full length normally. As well most short quilts are more prone to slipping out from under the user more than full lengths are. But in the quilts that I have made and used in conjunction with the Triangles every quilt has been easier to hang and get secured "just right" That is part of the reason that we ask what length quilt they will be used on in our store. We make 2 sizes depending on what quilt will be used with them.

Thanks! I was hoping you might have some good information like that.

Sorry Rat... I could have shown you a set in action at the hang last weekend. We have a Leigh's UQ that we hang with the triangle thingies. They really are magic.
