Well the trail starts right behind the Forest Service Sign/Kiosk about middle of parking area. It is about 1/4 mile by trail to camp ground. The access road is about 200 yards beyond the trailhead parking lot on the left. I think there is a sign. The gate is probably locked but it might be easier hiking the road in the dark. If he blows his horn the others will be able to hear and maybe come out to meet him.

    Thanks Southmark!

Hopefully he has made it... not sure if he has cell phone/email service but he's pretty resourceful so I'm thinking good thoughts

He shouldn't have any problems. He would probably be able to hear the group from the trail head and I'm sure they have a big campfire glowing in the dark.

Beautiful campsite. Easy walk. Clear running water. Great weather (on Friday night). Good food (thanks Buffalo.) Warm campfire. Several new friends.

I hate that I missed this one. Is it too early to start planning a spring hang????
