Congatulations SpoonAT2010 on your AT accomplishment, thats something to really be proud of. I have hiked three very small sections of the AT totaling approx. 100 miles. My avatar pick is my pack and gear hanging at the scale at Amicalola State park heading up to Springer Mountain.
Welcome Skeebo. A lot of friendly folks here and a ton of information. "Now the fun begins." Read = now the spending of lots of time and money begin! As others have said, this is quite a passion so it's all totally worth it.
