    DIY Z-Liner w/Quilting material

Well I used some advice from some and made my first pad.
I just did one as a trial.
I'm not sure how warn it will be or what temp I will be able to go down to ???
I'm not even sure whether I should put the Clark Z-Liner pad against the bed or outside of my DIY pad.
I guess that will come when I make the rest of them and try it out.

I still need to sew velcro strips on when I get it this week . . .

But I do like how it puffs out the pockets full . . .

    Looks Warm!

This is the first pic of the Clark pocket I've seen... it all makes sense now.... No gaps to let cold air in... hmmm...

Whichever compresses the loft the least, would be my guess.

Let us know how it works out!

    !
Down the center of the hammock there is a connector strip
that seperates the pockets left from right.
And the same between the pockets on each side
    it is 2.25 inches wide.
So when the pockets are full . . .
there is at least 2.25 inches of insulation.

The Stock Z-Liners are over sized compaired to the pocket size
but only 3/4 of an inch thick,
so, the pad covers the bed and rolls around to help keep the cold from entering between the pockets.
So it would appear, when setting it up.

With the DIY pads filling it full up,
it should be just like an under quilt.
I may have the other pads done by the week end and we are cold now.
So I will report as it develops.
