Very nice! I leave my guylines tied to the tarp with bowlines but could instead put a shock cord between the bowline and the tarp. I leave taut line knots in the stake side so I can easily slip it up or down. Works like a champ. For those not wanting to mess with knots you could also use one of the niteize tie down devices: http://www.niteize.com/collection/Ti...nd-Bungees.asp
They have some pretty neat technology.
I just built 8 of these. 4 for my sil tarp, 4 for the cuben. The only change I made was to add plastic mitten-hooks to the loops. That way, I can not only loop onto a stake, but clip to the opposite door, or clip to the pull-out rings. Love the clam-cleats. Super easy to use.

looks like I may have to get a set of these. Looks like a pretty easy set up and a good way to support HF. -J
Quick question for those that use the line-loks thoughts on the glow in the dark version? I am thinking of just using reflective cord and I am not sure I want them to glow other than when I want to see them and I will likely have my light on then. Any pros or cons of the glow in the dark version? -J
I purchased some a couple of years ago. Mine only glow for a short period of time. Which is enough for me to get into my hammock without getting tangled up. I have a fear of a trip and fall.
And to think, I was just about to post my own thread asking people how they tension their tarps! This idea is brilliant; definitely subscribing to this thread so I can come back and borrow your idea later

Newbie here... bear with me.
Is this method strong enough for a Kelty Noah's Tarp 12 x 12 & (4) Kelty Adjustable Poles type set up?
Using:
* Lawson Equipment Reflective Glowire Cord 2.38mm
* Mini Line Lok 1-3mm
* MSR Groundhog Stakes
* I may use the Shock Cord as shown but thinking of perhaps not using shock cord and going with small carabiners to connect between the Glowire guy line and the Kelty Noah's Tarp attachment points. Using this tarp for car camp/Boy Scout use. Looking for an easy effective set up that will hold in bad weather still. Comments?_______
* Thinking of just tying a permanent loop at the stake end of the guy line
Thank You..
