I will be doing something similar, just got all my cordage from dutch. I want to try this system using prussics then see how it holds and if need be then go to the mini locks.

    I really appreciate sharing this!

I am a little confused on how you did the loop on the end to go over the stake....can I get some help with that please?
    Thank you much!

    The instruction leaflet found at

    http://www.clamcleat.com/uploads/cle...-and-CL266.pdf

shows how the creator (of line lok) suggest they shoud be used.

I love the mini's, they work with the smallest of lines. If you use shock cord I woluld recommend one size bigger.

    Cheers Tjalling

The loop on the ends of my guy lines are simple 1" loops made with a locked brummel splice and bury. Lots of threads here detailing the technique.

I just use a purssic knot off the line on the tarp to the shock cord tentioner. Looks just like this except the plastic jibber you use is my purrsic knot..... What is a plastic jibber?

That's what I do. I like stowing my tarp without any lines attached--nice and neat. Great system with or without the line-loks. I'm just a knot nut!

Well I waited until a good long test period had passed, and I can report that Shane's system works. Dry? They work. Wet? They work. Wind? They work. I have a large fly with 3 tie outs on each side, and these tie outs simply work. Thanks Shane, and yes, this thread won't die, nor should it.

^ agree, ^ agree, ^ agree, works like magic. Push the stake in the ground, hook the loop over it, and pull tight, done. Took longer to type this than to actually do it....
