    Hammock stuff sack/ridgeline organizer

Just put together a new stuff sack for the hammock that doubles as a ridgeline organizer by putting pockets on the side and tabs to hang it from. The large orange pocket is only attached along the top and has a velcro tab on it so it can hang freely when being an organizer and be held to the side of the bag when its a stuff sack. The other pocket is mosquito net that just happened to have elastic on it already. Also in the last photo is a pair of gloves and a hat that sticking out of the sack, so its technically 3 pockets, the sack itself, the orange pocket and the net pocket. I think the design has a lot of potential by simply sizing the pouches to your needs.

Excellent idea that is what a would call a real multi-tasker.

    Redoleary,

That is an awesome design! I have been playing with the idea for quite a while of making an organizer and seeing yours with the hanging stuff sack has just made up my mind. I will be building one now. Thanks! Regards, Dale

Thanks Poppabear, I thought it'd be nice to get a little 2-fer-1 usage outta something. Most of my stuff sacks just lie around doing nothing after I get to camp.

Thanks rae-rae, I like my gear to be ruthlessly efficient! Nothing worse than lazy gear. Just kidding, I'm not a gram counter, but I like to save where I can.

Thank ya Dale. Even though it was just a stuff sack, there were some mental gymnastics involved in getting it done in the right order. It was a fun project.
I'll be looking forward to seeing some pix of yours.

Thanks rjcress, I hesitate to say I came up with it, I see so much stuff on this site I can't remember what I've seen vs. what I come up with on my own.

I had a similar idea I was playing around with last summer, but youve taken it to a whole new level------------great job! I'm really impressed! Are you thinking about making extra and selling them? I really think you've got something there!
FYI: If you want to know what type a certain bear is, sneak up behind it and kick it. Then,
run like crazy and climb up a tree. If the bear climbs the tree and eats you, it's a black
bear. If the bear just pushes the tree over and eats you, it's a grizzly bear : )

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me, either, just leave me alone.

Thanks Stevebo, this one was just a sort of proof of concept and would need some refinement in both material and construction, but I appreciate the compliment.
