    I pretty much used my standard setup, the only difference was that i had a ccf pad(1/4inch - 6mm) under me to augment my IX UQ.

    When it get cold i also use down booties to keep my feet warm. And as you can see i use both a facemask(seirus neopren) and a fleece balaclava in conjunction with my hat.

    Before i tucked in i heated a 1/2l water to use as a hotwater bottle.

    So i was hot and snug all night

    Still longing for some nice down though...

    Nothing like some snow camping.
    Good call on the widow-makers. Best to be cautious and go with your gut feelings.

    Yes thatīs how i use my set-up, but with all the snow my tarp gets pushed down and seals better - i still am wishing for a Big Mamajamba with doors.

    @Shug

    Great fun(and thanks for the winter time inspiration) But what do you do to keep your camera gear "alive" when its cold?

    I keep it next to my body for to keep it warm .... extra batteries as well. Also sleep with it in a chest pocket.
    That has worked good for me so far..........

    Thanks for the motivation. I think I'm going to get my gear together and go play in a snowstorm today too.

    Wow not that's what I call snow camping. Looks like you had a good time. Thanks for the report. I like you camp set up.
    I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.
