Nice trip report and photos. I want to get "Up there" this winter. Looks like a good possibility for a first timer to the area.

    Great report!

I have never been to Raven Rock SP. I'll have to take Thing1 there some time this spring.

Really? I figured you had been there. Let's go! I'll probably go back in December.

I'm off the entire week after Christmas. Probably going to go then. I'm headed to Morrow Mountain with Shrek the 17th I believe.

I'll ask Thing1 if she can work that into her schedule.

I have not taken vacation for that week, so I'm working then. When would you go?

I would have to go during the weekdays. My buddy (the one I hike with all the time and whose dog just got killed) actually broke his leg and had to have plates put in it. He will be getting his cast off the week of Christmas and is dying to get back out.

I was thinking a 2 nighter (of course you could do whatever you wanted) as his triumphant return. The first night hike out to the primitive sites, then hike back out to the canoe camp the second night. About 9 miles total, once you get back to your car. This would be a good easy one for him and a chance to get out again without too much planning due to the holidays.

One weekend we have Christmas and the next weekend is Tiv's birthday party. I was hoping to do Mon, Tues, and return Weds.
