My 2 cents! Here's what I see in the furture for Warbonnet Outdoors, Next Oct. Warbonnet 2nd's sale!! and then the next year when sales are slow because the market is flooded, Buy a Blackbird get a Traveler for Free! This is just based on How Hennessy works (made in China). If your going to compete with Hennessy at REI and other outdoor stores? Brandon you need to add a tarp to your hammock. My 2 cents!!

fwiw i think this is a terrible idea to outsource to china. part of my love of cottage gear stuff is the fact that it's made by a person - not some mythical thread injector machine somewhere across the globe. if you decide to go this route you will likely lose my business. i realize that i am only 1 person and it's likely not a loss in your pocketbook, but i just want you to understand where i am coming from as a customer. i have never met a piece of gear i liked enough to say "well screw my principles, i must have this"

i do understand businesses reach a point where they either have to get bigger or get small or they will crumble. so it's a tough spot to be in. kudos for you for being open to the public about your "goings on"

Brandon, My next hammock is going to be a WBBB. If I end up on the ground in the middle of the night after a loud ripping noise I'll just blame my wife. Just kidding babe, your the best......kissy, kissy my little asian princess. (I'm dead.)

    Hey Brandon,

Thank you for alerting the community to this issue so it would not come up in some bad form down the road.

I do have one question (and please folks, no hate-post replies about this) if you could take the time to answer.

If you do reach a point where you are able to get the WB brand out into the market (retailers) and not just being sold from your own website, do you have plans to secure a patent on the footbox/shelf design that you have, in an attempt to keep what would inevitably be other folks trying to do WB knock-offs?

    Thank you Brandon.

i would much rather hear about efforts being made to hiring american labor to make your gear. With the economy the way it is and people out of work i am sure you could find sources here in the states to do it. I hate to say it but I most likely wont be buying from you now. Good luck hope you do well at least its an american owned company still.
