Red face Hello from Southwest Ohio

I've been doing the tent thing for near 20 years. Now-a-days the aches and pains (even with a top of the line bed roll) of sleeping on the ground is getting to me. I saw some YOUtube vids by Shugs and a few others folks and decided to give it a try. I have a HH on its way.

I am a bit worried about cold weather treks and how to rig for it.

    Welcome to HF!
If you are properly prepared you can successfully and comfortable hand and stay warm in cold weather.
Spend some time snooping around here and you will find a ton of information on staying warm in a hammock.

Welcome from Northern Ky. You'll find hammock camping so much more comfortable.

I'm a bit worried about cold weather treks and how to rig for it.

Lots of ideas on here to adapt to the cold. You might want to look for a local hang - there are trips to SE Ohio and the Red Gorge quite often. That way you can see some of the options. Hope to see you there!
