    Dynaglide and prusik knots??

I was going to order some of AHE dynaglide for a full length ridge line 4 my tarp.
I have a question though does this line hold prusik's well?

From what I understand a prusick works best when its wrapped around a thicker diameter rope. For example I use 2.2 zing as my ridge line and 1.75 zing it for the prusick 3 wrapps and no slip. Now that's not to say wrapping a prusick around same diameter cord won't work it can but you may need to wrap it more then 3 times
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Brand new dynaglide can be a little slippery. The coating wears away eventually. Put an extra wrap or two to ensure it holds.

Apparently Penberthy Prussiks work better on same diameter lines:

Thats very similar to the Klemheist. I prefer the Klemheist as I find it holds a bit better than the Prusik as long as you don't need tension in both directions.

Single strand (less than mm diameter) and braided (~1 mm) remnant lengths of Dyneema line using a Klemheist attached to DynaGlide WS & structural ridge line. Holds the light loads that have been attached to them.
