If one were to overstuff a TQ with an additional 6oz of 800 down in addition to base amount of 16oz what would be the new temperature range assuming 16oz was rated to 0*F? The reason I ask is due to my experiences with sleeping bags rated for temps in the 30's that I wouldn't dream of trying below 50. Would the overfill make the TQ manageable to 0* (I don't want to say comfortable 0* is pretty dang cold). Or is overstuff overkill?
The shell of the sleeping bag or the quilt needs to have enough empty volume to allow the additional down to expand, otherwise the extra down is wasted.
Since the manufacturers size the down and shell as a set to accommodate each other, there typically is not much extra volume to filled.
Most cottage industry vendors will only overstuff by an oz, maybe two oz, but they do not recommend it.
You might consider buying a TQ from one of the many FANTASTIC vendors on this site. Read all the praise from the many satisfied buyers.
FYI - inches of loft is a very good indicator of warmth

I agree with tjm....alittle overstuff will help...but adding 6oz will only add weight and bulk
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold
