If you fear forgetting something either coming or going get the JRB All In One System. Everything is there and attached together, a no loose no loose situation.

I forgot my tarp-ridgeline once. When I went back to the same place a couple of month later it was gone. Someone probably needed it better than I did

It's mostly cooking gear I forget, whether it's a fork to eat with, my mug, or a lighter to light my stove. I've forgotten to bring extra clothing sometimes too, sucks when you forget your spare pair of socks!

My sleep gear and hammock gear are well organized so I haven't forgotten anything like that (yet!)

I voted for a carabiner. I didn't really forget it but in my rush to break camp. I dropped it in the leaf litter never to be seen again. I was pressed for time so only conducted a a quick search with no luck at finding it.

Stakes for sure. I have forgotten them and left them at home, the campsite, and/or not brought enough.

I forget to take stakes on the trip sometimes. I'm pretty good at looking around the site on my idiot check.

Never left anythng behind on a trip before, but have left home without my pillow or missing a couple stakes. It hasn't been anything big yet that can't be easily improvised.
