Michaels craft store has some rather ugly green ones in the sewing section that appear to be marketed towards people with arthritis in the hand/wrist. It appears to be the same concept more or less. No open palm though.

I made mine out of a shirt that had the hole at the end of the sleeve and then made some holes for my pointer and pinkie fingers and they work awesome.

Just made a pair of these. I think they are going to work very well. Thanks for the tip!Search for "wristies" or just go cut the toes off an old pair of socks, and cut the heel off to make a hole for your thumb.
