Hey There Hammock People!
I'm from southern New York but I'm currently at school in the beautiful finger lakes region.
I've always been interested in lightweight camping and backpacking, which led me eventually to Mr. Hennessy and his fine products. Now I'm hooked and have a whole wish-list of modifications. Very happy to have found this site, seems to be full of information!

Hey Lifted....although I'm in CA right now until after the New Year, I'm from Elmira NY about 30 miles south of you. You'll be glad to know there are several hammockers that live in and around Elmira. We hammock camp pretty much all year being most active in the warmer months. We do quite a bit of backpacking on the Finger Lakes Trail with an ocassional trip to the Dacks and other places. We also have a very active whitewater kayaking and ski/snowboarding group. Give me a shout out if you want to hook up with our group...and welcome to the friendliest forum on the internet.
