Ran out of down (Oh noes)

Sorry got a little youngin' slang in there for ya guys. Any who I was on the verge of finishing my TQ yesterday when I ran out of down to stuff it. Brandon is out of down. I may have gotten the very last batch. So I ordered THIS

Just wondering what you all might think of it. I did the math. the 115$ one is 5$ an ounce. I figure some of that is the 300 thread count cotton they covered it in so there's at least 18 ounces of down left to finish my project.
I think I found a good deal. At least I will be able to finish my project now. With roughly the same weight/quality of product.

I'll be curious to know how much down you get out of that pillow, and the down quality compared with what you already used.

I'm going to look at making some top quilts this spring, and if the down from that pillow is quality, I think you just led me towards one heck of a deal.

    Down

A box of this just arrived yesterday from Stormcrow at HammockGear.

He'll even send it to you measured out if you ask him. Believe me, that's where the work is. Cuts way down (pardon the pun) on loss and way up in accuracy. Thorwren, his lovely bride has a big hand in feather distribution too.

I'm usually the one recommending going to Stormcrow to get your down (he's good peeps!), but as mentioned above, I have a couple lbs of down if you need that much. If you just need a few ounces, absolutely buy from Stormcrow! (I still have a bunch of 900 fill from him I have yet to use!)

The down in that pillow is 800fp.

    Not bad down at all.

Stormcrow is out of down only reason I found an alternative. Well according to the website at least. If I need more I hope lonely raven has some left when I have the money again.

Would love to know how this works out for you.
