    Dec NJ/PA area hang

So as not to hijack the original thread completely, I figured I'd open a new one.

Looks like we have at least a few folks interested in a NJ/PA area hang sometime in December. Let's use this thread to coordinate a time and location. I think we can safely rule out Christmas weekend - any suggestions? I'm pretty much open the rest of the month.

As far as location, I'm game for anything reasonably close, say within a couple hours. Car camping location probably preferred as I think most of us are using this to test our NJ winter hang gear.

Sounds good. I am most likely available other than Christmas weekend. Now the question becomes, "Where?"

Will Mar Dot be joining us?

I think I can safely say MarDot will not be up for a December trip... she thinks I'm insane for planning to go to the NJ winter hang

Guess we should also figure out if we're shooting for a weekend trip (say, Fri/Sat night, pack out sunday) or just an overnighter. I'm up for a couple nights, but we can see what availability looks like for everybody.

How about the Dingmans Ferry campground? They're hammock friendly.

I think Washington's Crossing State Park has overnight camping for groups only. I can't think of a more neutral location for NJ/PA (north or south). Plus I don't think is a place that you can otherwise go to camp at unless part of an organized group outing. May be with considering, no?

EDIT: Crud...never mind...the group sites are closed Nov thru March.
