Good looking quilt son!
So sorry you contracted the terrible and infamous Budgerigar Dander Pneumonicosis in the process of doing a DIY project.
That is why I elected to go with a Shug suggestion, GSETDI (Get Someone Else To Do It).
RedOleary is murdering one of my sleeping bags as we speak, to see if he can make a DIY Peapod.
Ya gotta wuv those guys and girls that like to make stuff out of your stuff.
Wait a minute....I better go check to see how Red is doing.

Just got a Golite Featherlite bag (40 deg, no zipper) and have been tempted to do the same. Looks great!
Friends don't let friends use Coats and Clark. Or dull needles.
You may have enough down left for a partial UQ, a la Warbonnet Yeti.

Very nice!
Very nice job looks professional by the picture....
This one was $30 at a garage sale. The GF wanted it--I advised against buying such a flimsy plastic modern machine. She insisted, so I bought it for her anyway, and, of course, she hasn't gone near it since.
The needle appears to be sharp... I've got some guttermanns coming in the mail.
The problem I'm having is that I can get the upper and lower tension set just right and sew for a few feet, then suddenly, without any action on my part, it will start rattling and producing loops on the downward face (right side?) of the fabric. Then the loops get caught in the dogs and make a mess. At this point, seemingly no amount of fiddling will get it working again. Then, just as suddenly, it will start working. This random reinforcement makes it tempting to just keep trying, but I'm going to wait on the new thread and see if that helps.
