Ordered one to try for UQ use in warm weather.
Not expecting it to provide comfort in cold weather, but it might be the solution to CBS on cool early/late summer nights.
For that price I can't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out.

If they're anything like the sports authority brand, alpine design down throws that have been selling for $10 and are 50"x 60" and also have around a half inch of loft... I have used two (one wrapped around my feet going up to my waist, and the other going for about knees to head) in 40* temps with no issue, and I am by no means a warm sleeper. Atleast I don't think. So really only for knees to stomach was double layered. The sports authority ones are also duck down and I'd assume no more than 450 fill.
I actually have one over me now and its 68* in the house and I have to keep taking it off cause its way to warm. But I wouldn't buy one of these for $30.
Just an FYI, these are on sale for $19.99 + 30% off today only. Picked one up for $15 and change out the door today.
Been looking for a cheap underquilt solution for my hennessy ultralite zip. Bought one of these last year after xmas for like $15. I noticed it had hollow channels running around the entire border. Just ran some shock cord through all the channels, added some cord locks and BAM! instant underquilt. I'm 5'9", and was able to cover from shoulders to feet barely. Had it at 51F last night and was warm and fuzzy all night. As for the loft, throw it in the dryer with some tennis balls, triples the loft. Could also put a down jacket in and cinch it up tighter for some added warmth.
I made one very similar to yours other than it's only a half UQ and ran the baffles the opposite direction. I had mine down to 36 degrees thus far with good results.
Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!
I love my Sports Authority throws, works perfect here in Florida!
I'm going to look tomorrow and see if they have them at the store here. I was wondering if you double them up how much warmer could you go? If one would be good for summer, early fall. then 2 would be good for late fall, early spring?
Never mind. should really look at the dates of post
