Great job Mac, especially the anorak. Has anyone combiled a list of who is going to test what at the MN winter hang?

Looking at the details, that would appear to be the original barn, which I was told burned completely, and was rebuilt as close as possible to the way it was. I've been reading a little of the history on and off today, but I don't have it all yet. Haven't figured out why the barn is there, but the name goes way back, to the "Overmountain men" who travelled from Kentucky to join the Revolutionary War battle of King's Mountain, SC.

You and Scupper have a fondness for warm fires.

It's an interesting community that lives in the valley, too. More people than I would have thought. Some live very modestly, and others appear to have done much better.

Thank you very much, Book! Now I'll try my hand at making leather and canvas mukluks, like the samples you sent!

That's a good idea... FourDog and I have talked about it a little in PMs. I'll post what I'm testing in the other thread.

Great video! I am jealous of the snow. All that we have had thus far is a few flurries.

    I can certainly see why!
I think I'll have to go explore a bit more once I've tweaked my tarp situation a bit more.

Perhaps by the end of this week, there will be a couple of bears hanging from the fork lift!

Further down hill in NC, you have to age your venison in a walk-in cooler, on account of the midday temps that are usually above freezing. There's also bears, coyotes, and cougars...

    Looks awesome

Great vid, great report. I love the silence of the woods when they're snow covered.
