My new 3-season 900-FP quilts, a Phoenix and a Borrow, arrived on Thursday from Hammock Gear. I wasn't going to be like everyone else and gush online about the quality, but WOW they actually ARE top quality.
And they kept me warm in 18*F wearing a mid-weight poly base-layer with fleece pants and top, wool socks, my Mad Bomber Hat, a silk liner, and my thermo-lite bivvy 2.0 between the layers of my WBBB as a vapor barrier. These are with the standard 900-FP down amount, no overfill. I also had a doubled over, torso-length z-lite in the foot box of my Burrow for my lower legs and feet. I tend to sleep comfortably right to most temp ratings. I did have one cold spot between my shoulder blades, but that was fixed with some suspension tightening.
Here is a photo from this weekend's NJ/PA hang at Dingmans Campground showing from the top down: My MacCat Standard SpinnUL, Bear Burrito Oven, Burrow, WBBB, and Pheonix.
