Kelty Coyote 4750 $84.95 free shipping

I would look at the ULA CDT for a young hiker ($135). About 4 lbs lighter than a Kelty Coyote 4750. Use pad for frame and it will carry more than you would want to load up on a young hiker.
Just recieved email back from Chris at ULA. He told me that the waist size would most likely fit about 24 in. My skinny kid is 25 in and 17 on the length so he might be able to get into the CDT sm with XS waist.

That is my likely route for him. Oh and a OHM for me.

I got my 10yo a small Go-Lite Jam. Works great.
